My Island Creations Commitment to Sustainability

At My Island Creations we are dedicated to fostering a sustainable future and minimising our environmental impact. We have taken great care in implementing a number of processes to ensure that we are doing what we can for the environment and for the people within our community. These include:

• My Island Creations is a small Australian family business with our design, printing, and assembly of products being carried out in our home studio based in Cowes on Phillip Island which is powered by solar energy.
• We use non-toxic, water based inks. We use zero water as there is no steaming required in any of our processes; our print process works using pressure and temperature through our heat press machine. ​
• Our printing allows for precision; whereby we only print what we need. This way there is no wastage, as we use the exact amount of ink and paper required for each product and order.​
• We only purchase our base materials from Australian based suppliers who adhere to ethical and sustainable practices, ensuring that our products are made with minimal environmental impact.

• ​We aim to minimise waste through comprehensive recycling programs, waste reduction initiatives, and by promoting the use of reusable and biodegradable materials. There is very minimal wastage in the creation of our products, with any printing cut-offs being locally recycled.

• We are committed to developing and offering eco-friendly products that are environmentally friendly, durable, and designed with sustainability in mind. Absolutely no single-use products ever. 

• We actively engage with our local community to support environmental awareness and support initiatives that contribute to the conservation of our natural surroundings.

• We regularly evaluate our sustainability practices and set measurable goals to ensure continuous improvement in our environmental performance.
